Songs To Sing
I have been singing for almost as long as I've been able to talk.  My dad has a recording of me singing when I
was only about four or five years old.  I preformed in a band with my family since I was 14 years old... and
played with that same band until I moved here to California.  I also used to have myself a small recording studio
set up in my home there in Colorado.  I used to spend many all day sessions in there... just creating and
recording.  My tastes in music vary... I like most all types and styles of song.  But as you'll hear by listening to
the tracks below.  I have songs that I really liked.  A few of the songs listed below, are my very own originals.
And then others are covers of songs made famous by other artists.  And then there are songs performed with
my family band, The Regals.  I hope you enjoy them even just half as much as I enjoy singing and recording
them.  I especially enjoyed multitracking vocals and singing harmony with myself.  It's a blast to create with your
voice like that!  With exception to the songs with my band, all the other tracks are MIDI sequences I arranged
and played on my computer.  You'll need Windows Media Player to listen to these songs
Original - A song I wrote on a road trip returning home.  Was anxious to
get back and was missing somebody.
Back With You
Smile For Me
This song served a dual purpose.  I wrote this while going through the
separation from my kids with a messy divorce.  My little girl used to get
so sad when she thought of me going away.  I also had a close friend
who was struggling and I was always trying to get her to smile.
You're My Best Friend
I have always believed that the people we love most, are our best
friends.  Sometimes it's a friend, or a family member.  Hopefully, we are
fortunate enough that the person we marry is our best friend.  This is
another song I wrote with that belief in mind
When I was about 17 years old, my uncle was getting married and
wanted me to sing at his wedding.  I thought it might be cool to sing him
an original.  I think it worked well.  This is my oldest song.
Together Forever
I went through a time when I wrote choruses.  I thought I could write them
for the bible church I was going to at the time.  They never got used, but
I liked them anyways.
Praise For The Son
Our Lord Jesus
Another of the choruses I wrote.  They are like Lays Potato Chips... you
just can't write one.  I'm silly!
On this one, I actually had the tune bouncing around in my head, but
was waiting for the theme and words.  Then one day while talking with a
friend who was struggling with his faith, it came to me.  So, while all that
was still in my head, I wrote the lyrics to this song.  I would REALLY like
to hear a soulful, powerful voice sing this one.  My voice doesn't do it
justice.
Nail It
If
A group called Bread recorded this song... I have always loved this
song.  When I was a young boy in school, our boys choir sang this song.
Yesterday
In my opinion, probably one of the best song writing duos was John
Lennon and Paul McCartney.  This song is one of my favorites.
Colorado, You're My
Home
This song is written by my friend, Leslie Kern.  She had approached me
to put together the music arrangement and put it into sheet music.
While I was at it, I went ahead and recorded it with harmonies.  She later
recorded the song on her own album, but in an acoustic version.
When You Say Nothing
At All
This is a beautiful song and it's great to sing it.  Keith Whitley recorded
the first version I'm familiar with.  But the song is one that says what the
best songs say so well.
Always On My Mind
Willie Nelson has written some really good songs.  This one is my
favorite because it's a great tune, but it also has lyrics that apologize for
how we sometimes forget to express our feelings for others.
The Regals Band
As a family, we travelled and performed together for quite a few years, and played for many different kinds
of events.  It really was a lot of fun, and I'll have great memories of it that will last me my whole lifetime.  We
played a variety of music with a little bit of oldies type rock and roll, country, and the New Mexico style
Latino music.  Below, are some recordings of that style of music
